BENECO's MCO Assistance During the ECQ/GCQ/MGCQ

PROGRAM DETAILS
(1) Pantawid Liwanag For March, 2020 Free electricity for 30 kWh and below P100 discount for 31-100 kWh For April, 2020 P100 discount for 101-200 kWh This benefitted 159,073 consumer accounts in the amount of P12.93 million
(2) Employee Voluntary Cash Donation A voluntary cash donation campaign among the BENECO employees netted a total of more than P180, 000.00 for the purchase of relief goods for contractual employees, on call drivers and project employees who stopped working and security guards. A total of more than 300 persons received the goods.
(3) BENECO and PHILRECA Partylist TUPAD Program 101 MCOs were given ten days of work under DOLE'S TUPAD program with a pay of P3,500.00 each courtesy of the PGIRECA Part list
(4) Implementation of ERC Advisories (a) Implementation of the four months installments and 30 day grace period for bills in March, April and May (b) Deferment of the collection of the FIT-All and Environmental Charge (c) No more collection for additional stranded debts and stranded contract costs as per ERC Decisions in June dismissing PSALMs petition to avail of the SD and SCC
(5) Relief Operations (a) Joint BENECO and Team Energy Relief Operation - P500,000.00 worth of relief goods given to close to 1000 MCO families (6) Joint BENECO and NGCP Relief Operation - 305 cavans of rice distributed to the LGUs of Baguio City and 13 towns of Benguet
(6) No disconnection/No imposition of arrears and surcharges No disconnection, surcharges and arrears for the months of March to June, 2020
(7) BENECO'S own 30 day extension of payments The new GM issued a memorandum that BENECO will provide an additional 30 days extension of payment for the bills due in the month of June.
(8) Rolling Collection Centers BENECO employees volunteered to help in the collection of payments by providing mobile or rolling collection centers in April and May. In Baguio City, the mobile collection was included in the rolling market days scheduled by the City in various barangays Mobile centers were also separately erected in La Trinidad, Benguet
(9)Drive Thru Collection BENECO provided a Drive Thru Collection within the premise of its South Drive office to cater to MCOs with vehicles who need not get out to pay
(10)Implementation of the Pantawid Liwanag 2 A P3,000.00 per MCO cash subsidy and cash assistance courtesy of PHILRECA Partylist Target no. of beneficiaries - 93 MCOs
